Business transaction control

The agreement, the evidence and the money, held to the same terms.

Dhira Pay turns a commercial agreement into a structured transaction: who the parties are, what must be delivered, how it is accepted and when funds may be released. Then it holds every step to those terms.

One record

A transaction that can answer for itself.

Most business payments are held together by an email thread, a purchase order and somebody's memory. When something goes wrong, nobody can say with certainty what was agreed or who did what.

Every Dhira Pay transaction answers eight questions, at any moment, for every party.

What was agreed?
The accepted terms, fixed by a fingerprint that every party accepted.
What has happened?
An append only history of every event, with who acted and when.
What remains outstanding?
Each open obligation and the party it is waiting on.
What evidence exists?
Documents and statements tied to the milestone they support.
Who took each action?
A named person, acting for a named organization, in a named role.
Which conditions are met?
Every release condition, checked from recorded facts.
What financial state applies?
Initiated, received, safeguarded, in transit or settled. Never blurred.
What needs attention?
Signals that show the facts behind them and decide nothing on their own.

A formal lifecycle

From agreement to settlement, one explicit step at a time.

A transaction is never in a vague state. It moves through declared stages, each transition is checked against the rules, and each one is written to the record.

  1. Structure

Parties, terms, milestones and conditions are set out.

  2. Agree

Every party accepts the same fingerprinted terms.

  3. Fund

The payer funds. Work starts once funds are safeguarded.

  4. Perform

The payee delivers and submits evidence.

  5. Accept

The payer assesses each agreed criterion.

  6. Settle

Funds are released and the provider confirms.

Or resolveIf the parties disagree, the milestone and its funds are put on hold until a decision is recorded, by the parties together or by the adjudicator they named.

Financial control

Money moves on conditions, not on clicks.

Dhira Pay decides why, when and under what conditions money becomes eligible to move. It does not move money itself. Movement is carried out by regulated financial infrastructure, and a financial state is shown as confirmed only when that infrastructure reports it.

That is why “paid” is not a word the product uses. There are six states, and the difference between them is the difference between a promise and a fact.

When the parties disagree

A dispute keeps the record in order: facts, claims and decisions stay apart.

  • Fact

What the record shows: the agreed criteria, the due date, the evidence, the provider events.

  • Claim

What each party asserts and asks for. Recorded as theirs, never presented as established.

  • Decision

What was determined, by whom and on what authority: the parties together, or the adjudicator they named.

Where Dhira Pay stands today

The foundation is built. Live funds are not enabled, on purpose.

The transaction engine, the lifecycle rules, the ledger, the audit chain and this interface exist and can be explored in a sandbox with fictional businesses.

Holding and moving client money is regulated. Dhira Pay will connect to live funds only through financial infrastructure that has been legally validated for South Africa, and not before.
